THE BENEFIT OF OUR ASSESSMENTS TO YOUR CHURCH

The ePersonality personality assessment clarifies how God designed each person to serve Him and serve others
…your leadership will know exactly how to mobilize each person and what to expect from them!

The ePersonality assessment is a four-quadrant personality test designed exclusively to help you understand your unique behavioral style and how you best fit within ministry and team environments.

By evaluating your natural tendencies in how you relate to people, your decision-making, how you process information, and how your relate to your environment, the ePersonality uses this data to provide valuable insights that empower you to serve effectively and collaborate harmoniously with others.

Biblical Foundation
Ephesians 4:12 makes it clear that ministry leadership is responsible before God to “equip God’s people for works of service”. 1 Corinthians 12:18 provides additional instruction regarding ministry mobilization. It states that every Christ Follower is a member of the body of Christ, and that each member of the body is unique and positioned by God just as He determines. Ministry leaders who seek to be effective at equipping and mobilizing people for ministry understand the benefits of knowing and honoring the unique design of each and every person under their care. Each Christ follower possesses a unique design that is wholly appropriate to the mission God has ordained for them.

Individual Application
On an individual level, learning more about your unique design can provide you with significant guidance regarding the ministry roles that may be most appropriate for you, and how you may best fulfill those roles. With this information, you will discover a profound freedom to say no to those service opportunities that do not best match your profile, and yes to opportunities that allow you to serve according to your God-ordained nature.

While there are many good works you could perform in Christ’s name, you will serve God most effectively when you respond faithfully to his ministry calling in a manner that honors the personality He has given you.

Our personality assessment is designed to answer the top question nagging at the heart of each person: why am I like this? If you are curious about unlocking the divine purpose behind each person’s unique personality within your church community, discover the power of this tool which explains how God designed everyone for Kingdom service.

With its four-quadrant model, the framework outlines 16 temperament types. It reveals how people relate, process information, decide, and interact with the world. Leaders can apply findings to team formation, training, and communications. The model supports consistent language across ministries.

This information helps church leaders match volunteers with roles that fit their God-given design. The result is happier, more motivated volunteers and longer-lasting Kingdom service.

Select the titles below to view samples of each one of our sixteen personality assessment reports. Of particular importance, take note of how the four oppositional categories are scored within the report’s bar graph.

Understanding these temperament types isn’t just helpful—it’s transformational! It allows leaders to support volunteers in ways that truly meet their needs, whether spiritually, emotionally, resources, or staffing-support. The result is not only more people serving in the right roles, but because they receive proper support, your people will be happier, more fulfilled, and serve for longer terms.

Each ePersonality© report includes the following information…

  • A ministry-relevant title
  • Profile bulleted highlights
  • A description of who God made you to be
  • What you can contribute to the ministry
  • And, how leadership can best support you….

Leadership Support:
“What You Have to Give May Not Be What Others Need to Receive“

The last point in the list above, about how leaders can best support you, is very important for helping people stay involved in ministry…commonly labeled, “service longevity”. Why? Because after many years of working with churches, we’ve learned that different people need different kinds of support. What works for you might not work for someone else—some people need encouragement, some people need direction, others need supplies, while still other people simply need better support from team members, or their need may be something else. Defining how church staffers may best support each person’s point of need is an essential component for service longevity.

Now, let’s look at how the assessment is set up and how it gives us helpful and valuable information.

The ePersonality’s Four Oppositional Statements

Our questions assess temperament based upon how one scores through four distinct categories of positional statements…

  • How I Relate to the World Around Me… Systematic or Adaptive?
  • How I Relate to People…Independent or Social?
  • How I Process Information…Concrete or Abstract?
  • How I Process Decisions…Head or Heart?

Can A Personality Flex? Understanding FLEX Profiles…

Our four opposition pairs create sixteen different reports. However, it’s important to know that the ePersonality© test includes something called FLEX PROFILES. A FLEX PROFILE happens when someone’s score is close to the middle—less than 20 points away. In the picture above, the test would have created two FLEX PROFILES—one for the “Independent” group and one for the “Head” group.

If someone has more than two FLEX PROFILES, it might be a warning sign.

Important: Some of the data in the candidate’s main report will be accurate, and some of the data in the Flex Profile may be accurate. The only way to know which parts are correct is by talking to the person in a one-on-one interview. That’s why we don’t let church staff see these reports right away. We want to make sure no one is placed in ministry based on the wrong information.

We suggest asking the person to print their FLEX REPORTS and bring them to their interview with the church staff.

The ePersonality Personality Analysis report displays the unique blend of personalities that comprise your church.

This blend is commonly called the Organizational Personality.

A personality assessment of this blend shows how it shapes who your church attracts and how volunteers are mobilized.

The ePersonality© assessment is designed specifically for Christians to help identify how God has uniquely wired each individual for service, making it easier for church leaders to match volunteers with roles that resonate with their God-given temperament and fostering more motivated and fulfilling service.

The four-quadrant model creates 16 temperament types by assessing how individuals relate, process information, make decisions, and interact with the world around them, providing insights that enable leaders to support volunteers according to their unique personality traits, thus enhancing ministry effectiveness.

FLEX PROFILES are profiles that occur when individuals score less than ±20 points of center on the four positional statements, indicating a degree of flexibility in their temperament. They are generated when scores are close to the midpoint in the assessment, but only certain aspects of these profiles are considered valid, often requiring a personal interview for accurate interpretation.

The 16 Volunteer Mobilization Reports are detailed analyses based on the four positional categories, each providing insights into individual or group temperaments, which can help church leaders understand and strategize volunteer placement and support, ensuring roles align with personal and spiritual fit.

Understanding the internal structure allows leaders to interpret meaningful insights from the assessment data accurately, ensuring that volunteers are supported and mobilized properly according to their true temperaments and God-given designs, ultimately fostering healthier, more effective ministry teams.
