Skills Tracking

Why We Offer Organic Skills Tracking?

We believe God gives us everything we need to do His will, including our skills which He takes credit for developing within us (see Exodus 31:1-3)…

Skills, in essence, are like Old Testament spiritual gifts. They are also a reflection of a person’s God-given personality, rooted in temperament theory. That’s why it’s important for us to discover all the skills God has developed within our church.

Our Organic Skills Tracking program enables skills lists to grow naturally. There are no predefined lists to start with, and church staff cannot preload desired skills. Our research shows that when a church permits their skills lists to grow naturally, leaders receive more skill responses. On the other hand, preloading skills can suggest to your people that skills not on the list have little value in the church — a message no church would want to send.

Comments as Micro-Resume’

The Skills Tracking program also lets users add comments about their skills, such as degrees, certifications, and years of experience. These comments are like “micro-resumes”. Your leadership can review both the skill titles and the associated comments for each candidate and search the database for needed skills.

Tracking Skills is not only important for ministry mobilization within your church it is also a means of cross-validation with the ePersonality© assessment to verify that the assessment results are consistent and accurate. When you are a toddler, your God-given personality causes you to like certain activities and dislike others. The activities you are drawn too, with practice, evolve into skills as you mature. This is why a skills report may serve as a verification tool demonstrating that the ePersonality© assessment results are consistent with the skills report and so it is accurate and trustworthy.
